Ex-Bouncer Guilty of Kidnapping College Student in Queens

A former Manhattan nightclub bouncer was convicted on Thursday of
kidnapping a York College student.
The bouncer, Darryl Littlejohn, 44, was convicted by a jury in State
Supreme Court in Queens. He could be sentenced to as much as 25 years
to
life in prison. He also faces trial in the 2006 murder of Imette St.
Guillen, a student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
In the kidnapping case, the authorities said that Mr. Littlejohn posed
as a police officer and handcuffed the York College student, Shanai
Woodward, as she walked home from classes in Queens in October 2005.
The authorities said he forced Ms. Woodward into the back seat of his
van, but she escaped.
Mr. Littlejohn's lawyer, Jason Russo, said that his client planned to
appeal. He said the trial was unfair because of news reports about Ms.
St. Guillen's killing.
Ms. St. Guillen's body was found bound and strangled in Brooklyn in
February 2006, a day after she had visited a bar in SoHo where Mr.
Littlejohn worked.


44 yrs old, I wonder if these are his first? Seems like he should have
had
some earlier *crimes*, 'eh?

IIRC, Darryl Littlejohn has been in prison for most of his adult life.

Ah, thanks. I'd forgotten his history. Still seems like he would have had
