Reminds me of the radio personality in Iowa many years ago. Jody H--uitt,
long last name - don't think they ever found a body? And that tv person who
was murdered on her doorstep in London (someone prosecuted, but later
released?). What isn't clear from these articles - did this news reporter
actually live with her mother? I assume so, since her mother found her at
4.30 am. But no word on how an intruder got in? Lots of unanswered questions
in fact.

That's a dedicated mother, who calls her daughter every morning
to make sure she got up....and then goes over at 4:30am when
she can't reach her!
The case you're thinking of, WAS another TV anchor. In fact, it
was another small-town morning TV anchor: Jodi Huisentruit
