Hang on, what is "stress-induced amnesia?"

Google that and read what the professionals say
about it. Amnesia brought on by severe trauma
can be long term, or just brief periods of time. It
can lead to confusion of facts, and when the person
suffering from it is confronted with those obvious
discrepancies, they become even more stressed. One
therapy is to walk through those periods and try to
recover the memories. If Casey and Caylee were in
a terrible accident of some kind, Casey could have
just wandered away and totally lost that period
from her memory. All of her confabulation seems to
point to something like that.

Johns, should Casey locate "somebody who is mature, kind, and will shutup
and listen," what do you think that will lend to finding Caylee? Serious,
sincere question.

Therapy cannot succeed in the hands of an arrogant Know-It-All.
It can only work if Casey is drawn to a mature and caring
therapist. In the United States, one of the most arrogant
professions in this nation are the Psychologists. They
are suffering from a bad case of NIH factor ( not invented
here ), and they make it up as they go. Basically all of them
belong to "motivated camps" of funding stealers, and they
are nothing more than professional liars. The only person
I would trust would be a fairly liberal Christian preacher
with a background in psychology .. particularly Freud and
Jung. That person would understand the need for a caring
and mature personality that Casey would trust.

what that might turn up, I don't even pretend to know.
It might uncover who Zanny really is .. or it might uncover
a terrible accident. Or it might get nowhere, but a Freudian
would spot the narcissim .. a Jungian would get past it ..
a University Shrink would flunk the exam.

I will say this: until now, I don't believe Casey has ever had anyone
hanging on her every word (in a good way), nor ever was treated like she
was
important or special.

A Southern Tradition that we are all too familiar with !
