Missing School Teacher Spotted In Midtown

A 23-year-old teacher who vanished without a trace last month was
spotted in the city yesterday.

Police say a former classmate of Hannah Upp reported seeing the missing
teacher at the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue around 9:15 yesterday
morning. Upp was spotted checking her email on one of the store's
computers. The classmate tried to talk to Upp, but she did not respond.

That is a pretty good tip.


Upp has been missing since August 29th, when she left her Hamilton
Terrace apartment. The Portland, Oregon native is a Spanish teacher at
Thurgood Marshall Academy in Harlem.

Anyone with information about Hannah Upp's whereabouts is asked to
contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or to text TIP577 to CRIMES.


Isn't there some kind of mental illness that can cause a person to disappear and then not remember what they did when they come back. Sort of like temporary amnesia that just appears and then disappears. It seems like I remember seeing that on a tv show or something a while back.

She probably doesn't have that though since she was checking her email. But the fact that she didn't respond to her classmate made me wonder.
