To me (and to LE and, I'm guessing, most of you) the mother's story
makes no sense at all. Unlike Bo's Mug-shot-of-the-day, "mom" LOOKS
like a reasonable person, but "Officers said she admitted to lying
throughout her interrogation."

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 2-year-old who police said vanished five
weeks ago was never reported missing by her mother in a case that has
baffled investigators.
Detectives in Orange County said they received a call from the
grandparents of Caylee Marie Anthony, 2, about the well-being of the
child.
When Caylee's mother, Casey, was contacted by officers, it was
determined that she apparently never told anyone that her daughter was
missing.
Detectives said Anthony said she was doing her own investigation into
her daughter's disappearance over the past five weeks, Local 6
reported.
The woman also said she saw movies and reports that if people in
similar situations went to police, they had gotten hurt.
Anthony said her daughter was with a babysitter at the Sawgrass
apartments but on June 9, the sitter did not answer the door.
Detectives said they checked with apartment management and learned
that no one has lived in the apartment for five months.
Late Wednesday, Caylee's alleged baby sitter was tracked down by
detectives and the woman said she has never cared for the missing
child.
Investigators also said that Casey does not work where she initially
clamed to be employed.
Officers said she admitted to lying throughout her interrogation, von
Ancken reported.
"It is difficult to sort through what we are being told," Orange
County sheriff's Sgt. John Allen said.
Also, detectives said Anthony did not show any emotion over the loss
of her child. She did not cry or give any indication she was
legitimately worried.
I'm going to guess the father/his family are involved in the child's
disappearance... and that's who made the call to LE. They've got a
plan and the mother is on to it and isn't going to play their game.
What in the world????? Where did you get this idea? There is
absolutely NOTHING about a father here.
That's right... no mention of the father... nor any mention as to
which set of grandparents (maternal or paternal) made the call to LE.
We don't even have a clue as to her situation. So until more facts are
revealed... we can all feel free to assume just about anything we want
to get this friggin post rollin...' eh, dude?
I'm gonna guess mom killed the child "accidentally" and dumped the
body. Anybody whose child is missing five weeks and doesn't report it
to the authorities has a very good reason not to do so, and that
usually involves being afraid of being locked up.
Assuming the child hasn't been stowed away at a safe location for
reasons NOT being shared by the mother or the writer of this story...
eh?
