A man is facing attempted murder charges after shooting his ex-wife's
boyfriend in a fight over a dog. Good thing this guy wasn't a great shot -
he fired seven rounds, and only hit him once (in the neck). Only problem is
I can't decide whether to blame it all on the dog or the gun - my head may
explode.
Well, that is, in addition to the idiot holding the gun, but the gun
certainly helped.
Have I discovered the elusive "Bo Raxo special"?
Bonus points: One round shattered the glass on the front door, sending
shards in to a bystander. Gee, and some people think you can fire off
rounds and if it's close enough, you'll hit your target with no danger to
bystanders. I think they watch too many movies <chortle>
Do I even need to tell you what part of the country this comes from:

A Straw Plains man faces attempted first degree murder and aggravated
assault charges from a shooting after a dispute over a dog.
James Allen Taylor, 38, is accused of shooting 39-year-old Tom Nelson in the
neck. The sheriff's department reports Taylor fired seven rounds, with one
striking Nelson, who is Taylor's ex-wife's boyfriend.
Another round hit the front door, sending shards of glass into the abdomen
of 40-year-old Frieda Taylor, James Allen Taylor's ex-wife.
Witnesses said a man stopped in a pick-up truck and began shooting at a home
around 7 Sunday night. Neighbors believe the shooting may have been caused
by a fight over a family pet.
Neighbors said the couple's four-year-old son was inside the home when the
shooter opened fire.
"I just think this is really ridiculous and unsafe now," says neighbor
Jennifer Vasquez. "I'm worried about being here."
Frieda Taylor was treated at UT Medical Center and released. Nelson remains
hospitalized there.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office said Taylor called Knoxville Police
immediately after the shooting and surrendered to KPD officers a short time
later.
