Maybe China's govt is afraid of turning into Russia.  Hence change is
very slow.

China's problem is overpopulation. That is a difficult subject
to deal with. We've sent Educators, Missionaries, Ping-pong
players ... on and on ... and everybody comes back and says
that China has been forced to greatly restrict human freedom
in its attempt to control available resources and reduce the
size of its population. We, in the free world, could go marching
around demanding that China "let freedom ring", and China
would starve to death in a decade.

The most vicious documents I have ever read, are
about how to control women in cultures where resources
are limited, and a high birth rate would destroy that
culture. I've noticed that the news media never touches
this subject ... and I don't blame them. Most of our
"religions" deal with this subject by pairing sex and
serpents :-), but the truth is, they are trying to prevent
too many babies.

After the gas is gone, and we have moved back to
our farms ... we'll need a lot more horses and boy
babies :-)
