However, I don't think taking the child away will help the child at all.
It's likely the infant will never experience the horror or outrage we
all feel, and has a much better chance at a good life with them rather
than placement with social services. And also, and daddy doesn't look
particularly healthy to me, compared to what healthy 61 yr olds can look
like - odds are he'll die or become incapacitated before the child
reaches adulthood, or shortly thereafter (or before). By that time all
this crap will have died down too. That baby can transcend the
circumstances of her own birth. IOW, I think the kid has a shot at a
better life with these parents than any other option (espec if they move
and change their names). (I don't really believe there is a risk of the
man visiting upon his wife/daughter's daughter what he visited upon his
wife/daughter, even tho I mentioned the possibility in another post.)

I would be in favor of compulsory sterilisation for both, tho that will
never happen.

Contrast this with the recent murder of the developmentally disabled
woman. People were all for letting someone with the mental capacity of a
child keep and raise her children.

But the product of an incestuous relationship, some of the same people
think that child can't be raised by her parents.

Moral judgments that ignore the true welfare of the child. Sad.

What are you, nuts? Think about it, Bo. These two have already crossed
all moral boundaries. Do you honestly think they are people who should be
raising a little daughter? They see nothing wrong with their
*relationship*. How can you expect them to raise a child *with* proper
boundaries in place? I fear for this little girl, fear for her safety,
fear for her future.

I do enjoy your differing views, you two, when you bring up such good points
to make vis a vis your respective positions. And I also appreciate how one
or the other of you sorta lures the other to duel, and the other responding
in kind. Sometimes I just wish it wouldn't heighten so quickly into
intractability, which each of you gets mired in (JMO). I don't guess I
probably understand what drives each of you to trying to convert the other,
or else to prove the other "wrong". Not that anybody needs me to understand
it. :) <shrug> Oh well.

Myself, I am interested in the sexual dynamics of this situation of the
father/daughter union. I think there are more of these nutty relationships
out there, both transitory and permanent. I have heard or read (I forget now
which - maybe both heard and read) of such participants describing a merging
of sexual desire into almost that of a single entity, the sensation one
feels are perhaps *exactly that of what the other person experiences,

including touch and smell. And perhaps that phenomena somehow, along with
extended non-parent/child history, is how/why it happens at all. I recall
reading of one instance where both participants became themselves
overwhelmed with the ickiness of it and stopped having sex after a few
times. But it was nearly a compulsion for them to do it in the first place,
by the sounds of it. Creepy yes, but extremely interesting. Sorta like
grisly murder and/or autopsy details.

Ms Deaves said she wanted to clarify the death of their first child,
Jackson, was from a congenital heart defect.
