Peter, is there some reason why everything you post turns punctuation into
odd characters? Can't you convert these large posts into plain text before
sending, or something? They're incredibly hard to read, especially combined
with the near-complete lack of paragraph breaks. It almost looks like you're
posting from word processing documents (where the curly apostrophes and
quotes all have to be changed to render correctly in plain text, like HTML or
mail or Usenet postings).

Amy

Amy,

I don't know diddly about computers and "text", but I don't have any problem reading Peter's posts. They do, however, show up in large print for me; but with my myopia, that's a "good thing." I think I did read something here long ago about HTML and stuff...that some settings show up in a bad way for some a.t-c people. I *have* seen some copy/pastes of newspaper articles that had unusual things, substituting for quotation marks and apostrophes...but not in Peter's posts. (Squares and other symbols like what you showed above.)

I didn't see any of the hootenannies either. Usually when I copy paste, I put in the spaces between paragraphs manually though.
