the word *just* in the sense that it is normally used. What I meant was,
did you have other diagnosis' also? Mine was for major depression,
PTSD, and DID also. My therapist was most concerned with the major
depression at the time he wanted me to sign myself in. But I told him
that I couldn't do that, I couldn't not have my safe place, my bat cave.
I needed that. If I couldn't have it for my protection, my safety, I
truly felt like I would retreat into myself, lose touch with reality, in
order to protect myself. I could feel I was already very close to doing
that as it was. Taking away my safe place would be the worst possible
thing to do to me. Thankfully, he really understood what I was saying.

Well of course the agoraphobia led to the other things that got me locked
up. How many times can you ask someone to please get out of their room and
go outside before you start to think they are crazy? And how many times can
someone ask you to get out of your safety net before you start becoming
angry, resentful and more paranoid?






To each his own. I hope she gets some understanding now that she's out
of the bathroom, but unless a different method of help comes to her,
they'll be prying her off that seat in another two years.


I hope they can work out some support system for this poor woman. And
that she is strong enough mentally and emotionally to fight to get better.
It's a long road, and sometimes you take two steps forward and one back
again, but with the proper help, hopefully she can learn to expand her
safe place, and eventually 'take it with her' where ever she goes.

I'm betting she'll be watched for a bit until people lose interest. I
haven't caught up on the ng for a couple of days but did you see that
Michael Hebrenko thing on tv. He was Richard Simmons fat "pet" a long time
ago. He lost a lot of weight and now he's back up to 780 pounds I think.
