One class I took on personality disorders and
parenting said that some parents are just not
compatible with their kids. Their own kids drive
them crazy, and there is no meeting of the minds
over it. I could handle a narcissist child. Certain
behaviors are just not debatable. But I see parents
who seem to worship their bratty kids, and never
try to discipline them until it is just too late. Kid
grows up a vicious bully with his parents acting
as his servants.
Still, it is fairly certain that narcissism begins
with a bad relationship between a baby and its
mother. The mother is cold and indifferent to the
babys needs, until the baby withdraws into a
buried personality capable of extreme rage at
any time in the future Spoil that kid with payoffs
just to keep it from getting mad, and you get
a dangerous person who is too immature to
understand their own motives .. or .. control
an explosive temper.
