The children were given immunity, so they cannot plead the 5th.

It's a GJ, so they can testify.

However, they cannot be asked to testify against their father
(Custodial parent) in a criminal case, which is for good reason.

Can you imagine testifying against Dad, he gets found innocent and you
have to live with him the next 4 years?


For the record, the boys did not testify today. Their attorney asked
for it to be postponed.


I do not believe there is such a thing as parent-child privilege the way we
have spousal privilege. A child can be compelled to testify against a
parent and vice-versa. Prosecutors should be very careful, however before
they choose to do so as it could backfire and cause big problems.
