I'm using Vista. It has me curious as hell now. I notice it happens to the same people that you and I reply to, but it doesn't happen when we reply to each other. I notice that when ItsJustMe replies to the same ones, it does it to her too. Weird. I'm going to have to do some internet searching to see what is causing it.

Good point, about the police fire. As for 'stinging' the cat - I bet she
would hardly have felt those projectiles (depending on type of slingshot?) -
but it'd have pissed her off. Ya know, if they did do these things, those 3
boys, can you imagine how they'd have suddenly turned into quivering mounds
of jello as Tatiana successfully got herself out? Oh man.
Explains why they went to the zoo ("Duuuude, where can we go to shoot
something with these slingshots?") and why they were worried about the
car they left in the parking lot ("Duuude, they'll find our
bottalage!").
I hope we learn all the details of what happened. If there were witnesses
from the zoo, how come the reporters aren't finding them?
Because no doubt a hundred people are *claiming* to have been there,
and unless they have a ticket stub from that day (do they even have
ticket stubs? don't know) or a credit card charge or something like
that, it's impossible to verify whether they really were there.

jc replies to Bo:
Reporters don't care about such specific evidence. They'd say "Mary Smith says she was there that afternoon, and saw the young men with slingshots in their hands near the tiger enclosure, " or "Tim Jones saw men running toward the cafe, and minutes later saw the loose tiger heading that direction." I haven't seen any reports like that.

I'm getting more and more disgusted as this story develops. Not with
the dimwit brothers - they started out at the bottom, right from the
start. But with the zoo management. A wall too short, well, that's
weak. But just allowing anyone to taunt the animals, throw things,
with no surveillance cameras or volunteers or security of any kind to
stop them. That's just heinous. Bad enough to restrict these
amazing animals to some little concrete pad a thousandth the size of
their natural hunting range. But then to let people be cruel to them,
day after day, and just ignore it - hell, prosecute the zoo's
management for conspiracy to commit animal cruelty.
It's San Francisco, you'd get a conviction on that in a heartbeat.
And after you lock 'em up, let the public come and view them in their
cell. Yell taunts. Tease 'em.
Poetic justice.

jc replies to Bo:
I'm with you. I'm thinking the intentions and the IQs of uppermost zoo mgmt = intentions and IQs of two live boys (if they did indeed torment the animals).
Are you using Vista, btw?
jc
I notice that the ">'s" that get left off a few of the people I reply to also get left off the same people you reply to. Are you using Vista? and Windows Mail? It doesn't do it when I reply to you, but it started to do it when I reply to Bo also.

I'm XP and Outlook Express and have been for a long time. Well, I do post from a diff 'puter w/out XP sometimes, but it doesn't have Vista either. You using Vista? I thought not? I was thinking it was happening to me because everybody else was migrating to Vista?
