Volunteers looking for missing mom shift strategy

Volunteers searching for Stacy Peterson said Wednesday they would
begin looking for a large, rectangular plastic container allegedly
removed from her home by her husband and a relative, according to
reports.
"Up until this date, we've been looking for a round, circular drum
kind of container," Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson's
relatives, said outside the Petersons' Bolingbrook home. "We are still
looking for that container, but now we believe we might possibly have
to look for a rectangular one that might be of concern."
They **should have** been investigating/reporting ANY large containers
they
found. Any.
And therein lies another problem with volunteer searchers
Who else you gonna get? We're practically bankrupt here. Heck - LIVE
people can't get official attention from police, emergency vehicles and so
forth in some parts of this great nation. How much, exactly, should be
spent on locating missing dead people?
And what makes anyone think paid searchers alone could ever cover the areas
involved, even if there were sizable budgets for them?
How far away is the nearest sizable body of water? I don't know the area.
I do know he wasn't gone for days with that blue container - this was a one
evening deal, IIRC.
Someone refresh me if not the case.
