It could be argued as hearsay. It could be used in a trial for the murder of Stacy Peterson, but not in a trial for the murder of Kathleen Savio.
It also can be argued that this is privilege information, much like attorney-client confidentiality or doctor-patient confidentiality.
According to Fox News information shared with "clergy and doctors" can be used as evidence in murder cases. I am not sure of all facets of that, but it sounded like an exception to the general rules.
