We live in a culture where if you are not gifted
and chosen, you will live hard and unhappy.
When people cannot even feed themselves, and
they live right down the street from a house where
each of 3 kids has their own SUV, what kind of
culture is that?
When educators believe that only the best students
should receive an education, and the other 3/4s of
them should wait on tables and make hamburgers,
how are people to become parents and keep a
home ?
Why should professional workers have to have
an education superior to Albert Einstein ?
Why are all these resources locked up by greedy
people?
How can they cut funding by 25% every single
year for the last 50 years ? Who is doing this ?
How do we get them out in the open, and put
it in their faces that they are ruining our culture
and the lives of young children ?
Why do policemen and soldiers defend their
right to do this? Who is finally going to stand up ?
When will I get to vote for someone I respect, and
who is not a millionaire ?
When will I be able to buy a house that is clean,
roomy, and affordable ? When will I be able to
walk in a bank and not feel like I'm about to be
swindled ? When I walk in a doctors office with
a medical problem, I really don't want to talk
to his secretary about my medical needs. And
I would like to walk out feeling better. Why
can't I do this ?
When will I be able to talk to a woman as a fellow
human being without having to fear her biases ?
When will I be able to talk to another man
without pretending to like football ?
We live in a culture of liars, and I'm tired of that.
I suspect most children are tired of that too.
