How many of you wanna bet that Snyder won't even laugh at this Onion

OTSEGO, MI-While she may not be making the nightly news or gracing the
covers of Time and Newsweek, 46-year-old nursing-home worker Barbara Louise
Huxley is a dedicated, ruthless killer. But in today's male-dominated world
of remorseless slaughter, Huxley has been forced to murder twice as many
innocent victims just to gain the public exposure and foster the widespread
panic her male counterparts routinely enjoy....

Female Sociopaths are an incredibly rare breed, they are like 1% of
the 1% US population that allegedly are sociopaths. The most infamous
female sociopath, IMHO is Sante Kimes.

How about some facts about female serial killers:

They're 16% of all serial killers; as Snyder points out, that's about
in line with female representation among all violent crimes (15%).

As comradejo points out, most of those are part of a killing duo/
partnership - 86% of the female serial killers fall in to this
category.

Of female serial killers worldwide, the U.S. accounts for an
astonishing 73%. Take that Europe, another area where the U.S. is
number 1!

Female serial killers who are caught take on average 8 years to catch
- which is twice as long as it takes to catch the average male serial
killer. Some experts believe (and I would agree) that this is
because female serial killers tend to be :more successful, careful,
precise, methodical, and quiet in committing their crimes. That is a
better explanation for why they usually have more victims than male
serial killers - but the "they have to kill twice as many to get
noticed" line is funny.

Of course, Michael would never misrepresent a statistical fact for the
sake of a good laugh - I'm the only one who pleads guilty to that
one ;)

There are over 11,000 unsolved, no-known-motive murders in the U.S.
every year. It is not known how many of these are the work of serial
killers.

On the "Onion" article, it would be funnier if they mentioned that
female sociopaths had to work 25% harder to get the same recognition as
male sociopaths, or something like that.

Actually, what would have been funnier is if they had some feminist
group advocating that more women need to become serial killers, and
not wuss out after just killing a husband or boyfriend. That the time
has come to acheive equality, and not settle for being half of the
population but a mere one sixth of the SKers.

Oh and one more thing: Sante Kimes the best known female sociopath?
Don't think so - it would be Aileen Wuornos. She was the first woman
to ever fit perfectly the FBI's profile for a serial killer and had a
hit movie made about her life (plus a documentary that aired on HBO).
Heck, I'd say Belle Guiness is probably better known than Sante
Kimes.

This is one of my favourite "Onion" articles, given I am one of the
