OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A Springville couple was arrested for burglary
over the weekend. Police say Kevin John Hamer, 30, and his 28-year-old wife,
Kristina Ann Hamer, took their 4-year-old daughter with them as they drove
through Orem neighborhoods looking for open garage doors.

Police say the couple was at a home on Palisade Drive when a resident opened
the garage door. The 18-year-old resident told police he saw Kristina Hamer
run from his garage and jumped into a Pontiac with her husband and child.
The 18-year-old followed the couple in his vehicle while calling police.

Police caught up with the couple, pulled them over and made the arrests.
Police say the couple admitted to the burglary and showed them other
locations and items they had taken.

Police say the couple was in possession of methamphetamine. Their daughter
was turned over to a grandmother. The couple was booked into the Utah County
jail.
