On the surface it appears that two men randomly invaded the Petit home.Patsy Ramsey didn't strangle her daughter.
Father was beaten but alive. Wife strangled to death. Oldest daughter
set on fire. Youngest daughter was sexually abused for most of the
night then burned in her own bed.
I was surprised to see the Petit on national television giving an
eloquent almost non emotional speech.
Its convenient for the good doctor that he was not that seriously
injured and the only one to survive. Also that he was in the basement
to avoid heat and smoke.
Even more convenient for him is that he will get millions from life
insurance policies he had on all three.
In most cases of a death in a home, family members and the beneficiary
of the life insurance are on the top of the list as suspects.
If Scott Peterson can murder his wife and baby, and Patsy Ramsey can
stranglel her daughter, whose to say the doctor didn't do it?
The good doctor didn't need the insurance money. Motive gone.
Girls died of smoke inhalation, not burned in her own bed.
