Whoa! Wells pulled out a pin that started the timer? After he was
caught?

*If* that detail is accurate - and the Guardian is very, very careful
in what they report, according to Grag Palast, who has written several
pieces for them - that solidly establishes that Wells was in on the
plot.

I'd like independant confirmation of that...
