You did read this was an eleven year old *child* here, didn't you? As
far as I'm concerned the mothers should also have gotten stiff prison
sentences. An eleven year old *child* is in no way ready, neither
physically or emotionally, to become a mother. Physically speaking
alone, the body of an 11 yr. old is not mature enough, big enough,
developed enough to *safely* carry a fetus to maturity and deliver that
baby.

The youngest person to give birth was 5 years old. Both the mother and
the
baby were healthy.

And your point is?

Lot's of children are raped at very early ages, simply because something
occurs, doesn't make it *okay*. The child in the link you provided was
delivered by a C-section and was thought to have a tumor, not a pregnancy.
It was a matter of necessity to 'get the infant out of her'. There was no
other option but to get the baby out. Sheesh!

And if your *mother* was eleven years old at the time you were born,
you've got a hell of a lot more problems than simply *questioning* the
where abouts of *dad*.

Are you sure about that? Growing up knowing that your conception put your
father in jail is a lot to carry around. I know girls who were a lot
older
than that (12, 13, 14) who felt a lot of guilt because their boyfriends
went to jail because of their consentual sex.

An eleven year old child is incapable of giving consent to have sex. Lots
of children/women are raped and give birth afterwards. By your standards
all these rapists should go free because 'nobody wants their daddy to be in
jail.' Hopefully this child will receive therapy for the atrocity committed
upon her and she will feel no *guilt* once she understands that what
happened to her was WRONG.

Something has to be *missing* from this whole article. WTF was this
child allowed to carry this fetus to term and end up with a baby to
begin
with? If ever there was a candidate for abortion, this child meets the
requirements as to the issue of 'safety of the mother' IMHO.

First, it sounds like the parents of both the girl and the boy

This was not a *boy*, this was a 19 year old MAN. And this is America, it
is not up to the parents of a child and a man to decide sex is in order for
the pair.

were not
interested in having an abortion; second, when was this discovered? Was
it
after the ban on so-called partial-birth abortion was up-held?

There is no such thing as a partial birth abortion. Hopefully Ron will read
this thread and clear up that matter for you.
