What the profilers said regarding that Chicago family's shooting death

I was asking this question last week - about whether people remember
any extensive suicides where moms kill the dads. According to the
police profilers in Chicago, they felt something was amiss about the
father's story (that the mom shot the kids and then shot him and then
shot herself) because:
"When women kill their children, they are usually focused on killing
themselves and they kill the children so they won't abandon them. They
do not usually harm the father in any way, profilers told police."
That's what the profilers said. So the police started looking harder
at Christopher Vaughn. From what I read, the big problem with his
story is that he wasn't living with the family and they didn't set out
to the waterpark together. He also moved himself out of state really
quickly. The forensic evidence didn't come back consistent with the
mom shooting from her position in the car - or with her shooting at
all (especially herself).
