On May 22, 11:36 am, indigo...@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Indigo Ace) quoted
the Chicago Tribune:
The gallery has a security camera trained on its elevator, which leads
to the street, but not on the back door that leads into the mall,
where employees believe the couple escaped.
Police are going to check security cameras, and said they are looking
for a man in his 50s with short gray hair and glasses, who was wearing
a blue golf jacket, and a woman in her 40s with short blond hair who
was wearing a tan trench coat.
Once again, spy cameras don't stop crime - even in confined small
indoor areas. You can bet the couple also was somewhat disguised - as
high-dollar art theft is generally a steal-to-order or ransom
proposition, and thus well planned in advance. Who knows what the man
and woman were wearing under the golf jacket and trench coat -
commonly-worn items they could fast take off and stick anywhere? Who
knows their real (undyed) hair colors? Who even knows what the bust
size of the woman was - under the coat?
This one sounds straight out of a Danish museum theft a couple
years back. WELL preplanned.
