Thought you'd find this interesting, Bo.
In the quarter century between restoration of the Illinois death
penalty and Governor George Ryan's blanket clemency order,
298 men and women were sentenced to death in Illinois. Of those,
18 have been exonerated - a rate of 6%, the highest exoneration
rate of the 38 states with death penalties on their books.
One out of every 16 persons sentenced to die in Illinois
in the past 25 years was innocent. Astonishing does not
cover it. The web page lists the exonorees and gives
their stories and stats.
When Darlie Routier is put to death, will you feel that justice has
been served?
Moot -- it'll never happen. Even once they make it to death row,
women's chances of being executed are less than half that of men.

Must get pretty frustrating for all the blood-thirsty equal
opportunity woman haters out there.
If thinking that women on death row should have the same
odds of being executed as men on death row makes me a
blood thirsty woman hater, then I will wear the appellation
proudly.
Now go put your aluminum hat back on -- the CIA told me
they were looking for you.
