Naive as hell. Math is a SEQUENTIAL subject; if you didn't get second-
grade math, you won't get third-grade math - and thus will arrive the
age these kids are having missed YEARS of math. They aren't at all
likely to pick up years of math skills - no matter how hard they now
try or who tutors them now; I tutored college students when I was in
college - and saw that those lacking junior-high math skills and
algebra skills really just couldn't make it now that they were in
college and had a full load of other courses at the same time.
