Okay, I can't remember the name of a movie and I figure one of you
will know. It's a movie about some ordinary guys who find the long-
crashed plane of a criminal who was escaping with millions of dollars.
Suddenly, they have in their possession all this money. The movie
follows the unraveling of their relationships and their morals. They
go from being ordinary law-abiding citizens to thugs. One of the guys
is "smart" and the other "dumb". The smart guy tries to hide the
money, play it cool; the dumb guy is crazy, tells others (who then
have to share the money). The point is (in part) that they're all
dumb, And what they'll do for money, or really, what we'll do for
money, as we become complicit in a Hitchcockian way. It's about how
money changes us or how it simply reveals what we were to begin with.
Any idea of the title? Or even one of the actors? Help! It's driving
As soon as I read your post I got an image in my head of an Alaskan type
wilderness with snow everywhere. Then I had to conjure up an image of the
actors and got Billy Bob Thornton's face in my mind lol. I checked out his
movie credits and the movie is called "A Simple Plan" 1998.
