DANBURY, N.C. -- Special dive teams with underwater cameras helped search
a
fast-moving stream Thursday for two young brothers believed to have
wandered
away from home two days ago.

Jacob White, 3, and Jeffrey White Jr., 4, were reported missing Tuesday
from
their grandparents' home near Danbury, a town about 120 miles west of
Raleigh. Several police dogs have tracked the boys' scents to the nearby
Dan
River, which has been swollen by recent rainfall.

"At this point, it's still a rescue effort," Stokes County Emergency
Management Director Monty Stevens said.

About 200 people helped search for the boys Thursday, Stevens said. Most
hiked or used horses to scour the hilly, rocky terrain near the river.
Others used canoes and flatbed boats.

"It's been a continuous 24-hour operation," Stokes County EMS training
officer Brian Booe said.
