Wake County deputies tracked down the driver and turned the case
over to animal control officers. There was no word on whether
charges were filed against the woman.
There's a DOUBT about that???
I bet there is a divoce/break up story in here somewhere.
I know, I was so PISSED when I heard the deputies didn't file animal
cruelty charges against the bitch, I was just about spitting. I hope
now that this has hit the news, tempers flare and an uproar is heard
locally. That bitch should be tied to a bumper and dragged two miles
herself.
The guys who followed her and took the dog to the vets said it was at
least a two mile drag. Poor dog, two weeks later, still looks like a
mass of chopped meat. I've been nagging dh about wanting to call the
animal hospital and see about adopting buddy myself. I don't care if
I'd have to pay all the vet bills he's had so far. I'd still do it in
a moment. Rico thinks two big dogs are enough for right now,
especially with all the grandbabies. But if Buddy doesn't get a home,
I'm going to see about adopting him.
In the video on tonights news, as Buddy was laying there, at the vets,
on a cushion, when they talked to him he still managed to wag his tail
and give little licks to the staff. Poor sweet boy.

I hope you do adopt him. He'd have an excellent home.
Michael
Thank you Michael. Have you seen a picture of my new *baby* yet? Merlin?
I rescued him off craigslist in early summer. We're told he's a Catahoula
Leopard Dog mix. He's got one blue eye and one brown eye, with a bit of
blue in it too. Yes, he is quite goofy looking, which was what attracted me
to him immediately. I kept going back to the picture of that big old goofy
looking mutt until I knew I just had to have him. The vet thinks he's
around two years old, and he's a bit bigger than Gracie even, and strong as
hell to boot.
