Don't you think it odd that the inmate didn't come forward until after
sentenceconviction was overturned?
No. The information was meaningless until Yates' conviction was
overturned.
Does it make sense to you that Andrea Yates
would suggest that this woman pretend to be insane to get out of a
myfor probation violation? "I shouldn't be held accountable for violating
sentence.probation because I'm insane?"
I think it makes sense that Andrea wanted to unburden herself, and this
was a way to do it. I think she's also a cunning person and a schemer
and with a lot of time on her hands, she fell to scheming. Even if for
little or no purpose.
It seems to me that it might take longer to
convince people she was insane than it would've taken to serve her
this
There's nothing to suggest Felicia *asked* for help in doing this.
Andrea probably volunteered.
Remember, "they say" that inmates have no use for child-killers. Maybe
inmate simply hated Andrea for what she did.
Uh, "inmates" refer to actual prison inmates. A county jail prisoner
in for violating probation on a minor charge is different. It is
entirely possible that Felicia is an attention whore and wanted to be
part of a big case, but again: she gave details that weren't public and
were easily checked - the vomit, the blinds, the striking Noah's head
several times on the edge of the tub. The prosecution would have
checked these details.
Those details came out at the first trial.
while
That tells me Andrea really did tell her these details. Now that
doesn't rule out Felicia making up the rest, I'll admit.
I don't think anybody is contending that Andrea Yates was catatonic
she was killing her children. She was supposedly catatonic during a
doctor's visit *before* the drownings.
Tiny seems to contend (and Tiny, correct me if I'm wrong) that she was
catatonic throughout this entire period. And yet managed to drown five
children, the oldest seven years of age.
Nope, I have never said she was catatonic throughout the entire period.
Please cite where I ever said that? I said she was catatonic when she
first presented to Saaed, per his own testimony. There is a difference
between being catatonic and being *mute*. Further statements by Saaed were
that 'Andrea seldom to never actually spoke herself when he saw her for
medication checks. His information was gleaned through Rusty.
In fact I have often stated that in the days leading up to the killings,
both Rusty and his mother stated that andrea 'paced the house, stared at the
television for up to 30 minutes at a time, whether it was turned on or off.
Andrea pulled clumps of her hair out by the handfuls, gouged hunks of skin
out of her limbs, etc. Those are not the actions of a catatonic person.
Psychotic yes, catatonic no. Have you ever actually seen a person in the
throes of a psychotic schizophrenic episode? Have you seen the expression
on their face as they are listening to/hearing the voices in their head?
