Jury Selection Begins In Trial Of Scott Dyleski
July 17 - Jury selection in the trial of a teen accused of killing the wife
of a prominent attorney and television legal analyst is due to begin Monday
morning.
Seventeen-year-old Scott Dyleski is accused of killing Pamela Vitale in her
Lafayette home last fall.
Vitale was the wife of Daniel Hororwitz, a well-known attorney who was
frequently seen on national television providing commentary in high-profile
cases.
Prosecutors say the 52-year-old Vitale was killed by Dyleski in a violent
struggle after the teen had entered the couple's home.
Dyleski has been charged as an adult with murder, residential robbery and
the special circumstance of murder during a robbery. The special
circumstances make him eligible for life in prison without parole.
Dyleski has pleaded innocent in the case.
