I don't blame you. A book written by the lead investigator on the case
certainly would not be objective or provide an array of the various
theories on the case. However, if you would consider a book, I think a
good one is "Murder in a Perfect Town" by Lawrence Schiller. Schiller does
a good job, I think, in outlining the many theories in the case and the
various facts supporting and disproving each of them.
But it sounds like what your friend wants is something he/she can look at
online that provides all that in one place. Unfortunately, I know of
nothing like that, though I'm sure there is somewhere. I'd have to put
some time into a google/whatever search, and if your friend has internet
access, I would think he could do that as well as I can.
Don't mean to sound snarky at all...just an idea that seems obvious.
