Interesting note just mentioned on the news: while
in the RV buried in the snow, the Stivers watched
TV. When they saw that the search was cancelled,
the younger parents decided to hike out.
They *did* try to use a cellphone, but it was somehow
broken. They were only 14 miles from a town situated
on I-5.
You just don't set out without good communications,
and anymore, that means satellite TV and internet.
It's no more expensive for RVs than for homes.
