This isn't euthanizing someone who is terminally ill and asking to die.
This is killing someone who is strapped down, someone who does not
want to die and cannot defend themself. It is incompatible with being
a physician, and if the licensing body determines that removing such an
individual from their ranks is best then so be it. With actions come
consequences. That how Morales ended up where he is.
I read a serious suggestion in my local newspaper that they use a
vetrinarian to do it, on the theory that they know how to euthanize
animals. Holy crap, that's how low we've sunk - we really are
literally ready to treat human beings like animals.
Now that's degrading for our entire society. People complain that
porn, or prostitution, or violence on TV is debasing our society. But
hey, putting someone down like an animal, by the very people who really
do put down animals, they don't see the degradation in our humanity in
that.
Excuse me bo, but we *put down* our animals far more humanely than we do our
humans, case in point, Terri Schiavo. If she were a dog, she would not have
suffered starvation and dehydration. She would have been given a painless
injection and gone to sleep within moments.

The overwhelming majority of this country's citizens claim to worship
the teachings of Jesus Christ. I seem to recall one of his tenets
being that how we treat the least among us will be how he remembers us.
Well, Michael Morales is the least among us. And all those good
Christians are at the head of the line, howling for his blood.
