From the Tri-Valley Herald:

Another witness and former Dyleski housemate, Michael Sikkema,
testified that the marks on Dyleskis face were gouge-like. Sikkema

he saw Dyleski with the gouges as he came in at about 10:30 a.m., just
after prosecutors believe Dyleski murdered Vitale.

Sikkema and Croen said Dyleski attributed the marks to his encounters
with brush during the walk where he supposedly had the run-in with
Vitale. During cross examination by Dyleskis public defender, Ellen
Leonida, Sikkema admitted to telling police that he did not like
Dyleski, but added that he would not lie.

OH and Mike noticed thatScott was wearing lace-up boots(black) when he
came home Sat (10-30 -11) that he'd never seen before.

You guys have heard that he approached PV's house with one of those ski
masks on that covered his face, except eyes? Navy blue. has blood on
it, that's why Pam turned her wedding right around--people think she
thought she was going to be robbed.

Scott is psychotic, para schizo or something. ALL these people are
psycho-city. his father is really weird too. he's been there yesterday

The list, David figures, was stuck up into the drawer frame, since he
had removed all drawers dumped them over and cleaned them getting ready
for a party on Jan 28 when the list fell out. He screamed for Fred to
come.

gloria was there this afternoon--Fred will be up in a.m. for cross,
then maybe Oscar, and then Jenna.

Very enlightening indeed, espec the abracadabra thing, and the dead stare
of
the father. Parents like this, kid's bound to be screwy imo. Cripes. So
they
think DS stole the boots from the victim's house? If he wore a mask,
seems
like he wasn't nec going to kill her, at least not at first? JC

Maybe wear a mask so victim doesn't think he is going to kill her (note
says killing was part of the plan after getting pin number, if he was
talking about Vitale or neighbors.) Poster above has other comments in
the forum, I'll look for others. With such strange characters it
might be an interesting trial. Dyleski sounds like he was a serial
killer in the making.

Yes, I recalled the list. So maybe the mask was simply to fool the victim,
like you say. To my way of thinking, it would initially alarm the woman,
just seeing the person with his face covered. Actually, maybe he expected to
be taken more seriously if she couldn't tell who it was in the mask. And thx
for that other excerpt you posted. Man, that mother - and her kid -
whackjobs. Gawd.
