Dorthea Dix is here in Raleigh. At least I think it still is anyway. I
think I read something awhile back about them wanting to close it down. But
I didn't think that had happened yet. But I thought they only go to Dix
*after* a trial. Isn't that mental health facility still in Butner, up
around Creedmore? I thought that's where they take 'em prior to a trial,
for evaluation?

Really? I thought it was just the opposite. Hmmm., you are usually right
about these things, so I'll defer to you bel. I remember Hinkley being at
Butner for quite awhile, but I thought it was before his trail. Maybe it
was after he was found *insane*. There have been quite a few big names
housed at Butner, I do know that. Was up there only once, looking for an
outlet store. At that time, it appeared the mental health facility was the
only thing in that town. I remember it to be a very small town with a big
nut house. ;) A friend and I were out looking for a particular outlet, I
think it might have been the Revlon one. Anyway, I remember we took
Creedmore Road all the way north to Creedmore I think it was. And voila,
Butner.

I'd guess Wachovia would have fairly good benefits. Seems like a very large
employer in this area anyway. Is it national?
