Yes, that's how it goes. At first the truth can't be suppressed

the cover-up can begin.

Neither Democrats nor republicans want anyone thinking they would let
things get so out of hand in America. All the bodies are piled up
together and the reports are swept under the rug. Add in the
incidents that were never reported and it sounds pretty bad for those
poor people.

Whites, blacks, tourists, locals, military, the Superintendent
himself, the mayor all reported it in the beginning. Now that the
money is flowing in, no one wants to admit what happened.

Happens all the time in this country, just not on as large a scale as
New Orleans.

Reminds me of the story where that retarded girl was ganged up on and
made to perform oral sex while other students watched. What was the
first reaction of officials? COVER UP! Don't call police.

Who will keep donating if they think the money will go to help
perpetrators of rape and violence?

It appears that the money has been moved in the
president?s budget to handle homeland security and the war
in Iraq, and I suppose that?s the price we pay.

Nobody locally is happy that the levees can?t be finished, and we are doing everything we can to make the case that this is a security issue for us.
