Yep, he's the duct tape guy. It was dicsussed on Keith Olbermann's show. His
name is R. David Paulison and after the 9-11 attacks he said every
household's terrorist alert home safety kit should include at the top of its
list duct tape and plastic sheeting (to seal up windows and doorways in the
vent of a chemical/bionuclear attack. His comments prompted a run on duct
tape and plastic sheeting at hardware stores and Home Depots across the
country. Stupid because in the event of such an attack, duct tape and
plastic sheeting over your windows ain't gonna do diddly.

So no, not too encouraging. OTOH, the man does have a substantial history in
direct experience in emergency response and rescue work. So maybe he's
pretty good but just has a few silly ideas. I can live w/ that. I have a few
silly ideas of my own. ; )
