HM The Queen to visit the Irish Republic

The BBC reports that plans are underway for the arrangement of a visit
to southern Ireland soon.

Although discussed several times since 2004, at long last the long
awaited State Visit looks like it is now actually going to happen.

One supposes there will be the usual squeeling in the dens of Chicago,
but I expect that she will get a very warm welcome from the vast
majority of those who actually dwell in the south.
