To be losers would have meant the Central powers fighting (and
winning) all around the world. The idea that a victory in Europe would
have meant a victory around the world is nonsense. The British, and
probably the French, would have fought on from their overseas empires.
Just as Belgium did, even though its Eruopean territory was
practically entirely occupied. Even Serbia was completely occupied,
but her army still fought on elsewhere. I do not see Canada,
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or even Japan and China, all of
whom except Canada immediately occupied neighbouring German
territories, surrendering because of what happenned on the European
continent.

Even leaving that aside, to achieve any victory over England would not
only have required a naval victory, but also a few boats to get one
across the channel. Having one's navy afraid of a fight and hiding in
Kiel does nothing for either.

If there had been a quick CP triumph there might not have been a
Mediterranean front.

To get to a triumph there needs to be a lot of fighting in-between.
The triumph does not happen the day after Italy comes to an
accommodation with the central powers.
