Well, I shall have a go

Q:Why does our head of state live overseas?
A: Because that is where she has her main residence. Many Canadians
happen to do so also.

Q: Why is our head of state not a Canadian?
A: Who says she is not? The leader of the opposition is a Russian
Count. The last two Governors-General have been from Haiti and Hong
Kong.

Q: Why is our head of state decided by birth rather than merit?
A: It is as good as any other method of selection, far less costly and
isn't partisan. What's best is that the person who gets the job isn't
a politician.

No head of state is decided by merit. The person who is president of
Italy or France isn't there because he passed any examinations and
obtained a qualification for the job or went through a rigourous job
interview. Indeed, most of the elected heads of state would probably
fail. they are there because they are party hacks, with different
degrees of slime trailing behind them.

Q: Why can our head of state only be a woman if a man is unavailable?
A: The same reason why a lunatic cannot be a member of parliament, nor
a four year old child. The selection process for every single position
has some sort of rule or limitation.

Q:  Why is our head of state not allowed to be a Catholic or to marry
one?
A: She can be as Catholic as she likes. She cannot be a Roman
Catholic. Agian, those are the rules of selection.

One does not need to turn the state into a dictatorship because some
particular existing rule in the democratic process is seen by some as
hold office for about 5 years. That means that out of a

Alas, Canada is no such thing. It is dependent upon the US for almost
everything, defence, exports, imports, communications. Almost
everything one can think of.

At this time in our history, our military is fighting in Afghanistan
against the tabliban and Al Qaida, who are the enemies of our
neighbour to the south.

They are NOT  defending is , WE are helping to defend them.

Of what part of Afghanistan is America a province, exactly?

Canadian soldiers have been in Afghanistan out of Canada's own
interest. The consequences of that state failing affect all of us.

You are obviously ignorant of this fact. Over 125 Canadians  have died
while defending the world from Al  Qaida.

But what has that got to do with how dependant or not Canada is on
the US?

You seem to have difficulty reading . We have sent troups over there
primarily, but not only, in the defense of USA fighting the enemy
which attacked the USA  - Al Qaida, and their friends the Taliban.

I can read perfectly well thank you. Now, here is what you posted "At
this time in our history, our military is fighting in Afghanistan
against the tabliban and Al Qaida, who are the enemies of our
neighbour to the south. They are NOT defending is , WE are helping to
defend them."

Not a word about "not only". Not a word about any other reasons than
defending the US!

Gosh, the admirable modesty of it all makes me blush.

They are NOT defending is , WE are helping to defend them

Ergo   WE are defending THEM  .. Is that so hard to understand.

That means that Canada has or has no nuclear weapons?

Who wants to attack Canada?

I suppose some of those folk who tried to explode suicide bombs. I
suppose those folk who have caused casualties in Afghanistan.

If there were some enemy, we would fight
back, with all the intesity we did in two World Wars...where we were
NOT defending Canada..We were defending England.

Again, you have not answered the question. What was the alternative?
Was Canada going to join the Axis?

Britain was a huge market for Canadian wheat, Canada had no merchant
shipping to speak of. If Britain went under, where were you going to
sell your wheat and how would it get there?

Shall I mention Korea, Bosnia,Somalia, Cyprus...etc?

Oh please, no need to be modest for my benefit. I am dying to
experience Canadian lack of boasting.

WE help to defend other countries.   If the need arises we will defend
our selves with all the intensity we did  in the above  mentioned wars
We do not need the USA to defend us   We do defend NA together.
We are also in NATO etc.

So, the massive Canadian Army, minus nuclear weapons, is what stood
againt the Soviets for so many years?

The Canadian Army is not big enough to mount a border patrol. How is
it going to defend Canada, let alone the US?

If you think that Canada is under the protection  of the USA, then you
don'tknow Canadians  ...just because we don't go boasting like other
countries do.

I know plenty of Canadians and have visited a good many places between
Quebec and Victoria several times over. Nowhere have I heard anyone
mention that Canada had nuclear weapons.

And BTW the US   Military helped  to defend British   during World
War..

I don't know about helped defend Britian, they certianly helped in
winning the victory. They came in too late to do any real defending.
