I understand that under French law the next of kin of those who
died and Trevor Jones may be able to sue the Ritz, supplier of

English court helps or not, I cannot say.
I stand to be corrected but I thought there is a 10 year time
suggeston such action in France. Of course it would be churlish to
followsany of the delays in the inquest process which can be laid at
Fayed's door (legal proceedings pursued in Europe, additional time
reqired to prepare for the inquest etc) had any time limit in mind
just in case the jury found as they did.
Whetever it is, there is some justice in this whole sorry affair.
Fayed Effendi has been parted with a good chunk of his fortune.

Fayed has now said that he is giving up and will leave it to God.
It's to be hoped this is so. I suspect he has realised, finally,
that he has truly exhausted all avenues. What sickens me utterly is
that he invokes the princes William and Harry as one of his reasons
for giving up. He certainly didn't care much for their feelings in
the last ten years. And according to some reports, he claims that
'unlawful killing' is murder, just as he has said all along! He
appears to omit the fact that the jury has found that one of his
employees, instructed by him, in a car from a firm used regularly by
his hotel, was one of those blamed for these deaths.
What amuses me is that the BBC text news service is still quoting as
rather than as the rantings of a deranged woman that Her Majestyplanned to
'abdicate' in favour of Prince Charles.

BBC also refers to Diana as "Princess Diana", so what do you expect?
