| Anglican creeds say that we "believe in one baptism", but I have two
| godchildren, one baptised in the Anglican Church of Canada and the other
in
| the Episcopalian Church in the USA who have each been "rebaptised" as an
| adult in a Baptist or similar ceremony. My Episcopalian goddaughter is
now
| divorced and back in the Episcopalian church, but she has had the two
| baptisms.

| An acquaintance in our parish was first baptised in a United Church of
| Canada church, and talked our interim priest in charge to "rebaptise"
inbaptisim

| Several years ago one of our curates and his wife adopted a toddler from
| Russia. The child had been baptised there, she was received into our
| Anglican church, but her maternal grandfather, a Presbyterian minister,
saw
| nothing wrong with her being "rebaptised" - so there are all too many
| denominations, and ministers, willing to do so.

Any church which does not practice infantile baptisim teaches that
must be by personal choice, not parental choice as is the practice of theanglican
Anglicans, Catholics and Orthodox religions, thus invalidating the
baptisim and asking for the rebaptisim of your god children. Somehad
protestant churches will also desire re baptisim for its members if they
been baptised by choice just by the sprinking of water over the head sinceI can understand that, but each of these two godchildren chose to be

confirmed into the Anglican Church of Canada or the Episcopalian Church in
the USA, so they had chosen to be members of those churches.
