One clue is the fact that the cocaine had been placed in an envelope
which was 'embossed with the royal's personal insignia'. Which royal
except the Prince of Wales would have personalised envelopes, and what
sort of 'insignia' are they referring to? My guess is the Duke of
York..

I would doubt that people know what a "royal personal insignia" is or is
not. The Viscount Linley and many others may use emblems or monograms on
their stationery which could easily be confused by a reporter for an
insignia.
