What you would call "moose". Our elk is slightly smaller than the
North American "moose", but it is considered as the same speies.

The North American moose is the largest member of the deer family. The
North American elk is a very different animal though I do not know
whether they might be in the same genus. A Google image search will
show the differences immediately.
