Franz Ferdinand & Prinzip

I read today that of a theory after WWI that the Hungarian element
were somehow implicated in the assination of F.F. owing to the
archduke's liberal views respecting Serbia and the Balkans. Has the
question of Prinzip's motivation (and possible complicity of others)
ever been dispostiviely settled?

Incidentally, I also did not realize until today that the archduke's
marriage was morganatic. Who became the heir upon his assassination?
