As I said my reference was Burkes who actually state that the future
George III succeeded to the Dukedoms of Cornwall, Rothesay and
Edinburgh in 1751 on his father's death - they just got it wrong did
they?
The Lady Alice Montagu-Douglas-Scott was not born a princess but
problemwith the title of HRH Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester- she was

If Charles dies before his mother I can't see why there would be any
with William inheriting his dukedoms immediately - even if a rulechange was
required.made
However I seriously doubt it would be acceptable for Camilla to be
princess. The public certainly wouldn;t like it and neither, Isuspect,
would the royal family!

If you mean making CPB a royal princess in her own right, well yes that
is not going to happen. But she is a princess by marriage, just has
chosen to be called by one of her lesser titles. The dss of C would wake
up tomorrow and begin calling herself Pss of W and there isn't much
anyone could do to intervene. Well the palace could pull a Wallis
Simpson number, but doubt if anyone wants to go down that path again.
