Yes. But this shouldn't be taken as proof that all Europeans descend
from Charlemagne. It merely goes to show that no filiature independent
of that leading up to Charlemagne has been proven link by link up to
the year 800 in Europe. It's either Charlemagne or nobody, to put it
simple.

There are loads of hidden assumptions in this reasoning, some of which
are clearly unwarranted, such as the assumption of socially random
mating.

I'm sure that a fair share of today's Europeans descend from
Charlemagne. But the arguments for virtually all of them to do so are
not convincing.
