Actually, there have been only 10 Princesses of Wales, as Catherine of
Aragon married two successive Princes.
Of these ten:
1. Joan of Kent's father died before she married the Prince of Wales
2. Anne Nevill's father died while she was Princess of Wales
3. Catherine of Aragon's father died after her (second) husband acceded
as King
4. Caroline of Ansbach's father died before her marriage
5. Augusta of Saxe-Gotha's father died before her marriage
6. Caroline of Brunswick's father died while she was Princess of Wales
7. Alexandra of Denmark's father died after her husband acceded as King
8. Mary of Teck's father died after her marriage, but before her
husband became Prince
9. Diana Spencer's father died while she was Princess of Wales
10. Camilla Shand's father died while she was (de jure) Princess of
Wales.
So, of the ten, the fathers of three died before their daughter's
marriage; one died after the marriage but before she became Princess of
Wales; four died while their daughter was Princess of Wales, and the
remaining two died while their daughter was Queen Consort.
