Time of Troubles

During the Time of Troubles in early seventeenth century Russia several
candidates were
proposed or suggested for the throne. Some of the candidates (used in
a very broad sense) were: Karl Filip of Sweden, brother of Gustav II
Adolf
Vasili Galitsyn
Dmitry Trubetskoy
Fyodor Mstislavski (actually declined 3 times)
Several Habsburg princes ( Leopold and Maximilian are
mentioned by Vernadsky).

Now for my question: If my memory is correct, a Prince Cherkassy
proposed himself. Does anyone know the name of this individual? Any
help of suggestions appreciated.
