August 15: The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, George Cross Island
Association, this afternoon attended the unveiling of the Malta Siege
Memorial and laid a wreath at Tower Place, Tower Hill, London EC3.

His Royal Highness, Member and Patron, Burma Star Association,
afterwards attended the Burma Star and Far East Prisoner of War
Associations' Reunion to mark the Sixtieth Anniversary of VJ-Day, at
the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1.

His Excellency Mr Jaynarain Meetoo at 32 Elvaston Place, London SW7,
this morning in

order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his
appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of Mauritius

in London.
